Pair of 5's went in front with the flush behind and the dealer played the back hand as a pair of aces, instead of the flush. I asked why they wouldn't call the back hand as the stronger flush, and the dealer said the house way is to abide by the 2 pair rule, even with the joker. I didn't lose the hand but I was surprised not to.

Does that sound right?
