For me personally, if I have a mediocre hand, I’ll stack either my high or my low hand to guarantee a split with the dealer. I don’t think I’m adventerous enough for this game to try and split a mediocre hand and try to win both the high and low. I have that “live to gamble another day” mentality.

I’ve heard of this game Pai Gow but I don’t know how to play. Does anyone have any tips or description of this game? How much would one need to play and be profitable with this game? Also, what are the odds of winning? I’m trying to plan a casino trip so I’m trying to learn about all the different games and their odds.

How similar are the card and the tile versions of Pai Gow poker? I’m more than a little interested in the card variety and looking to find somewhere local to play it, but the tile version is even more intriguing. If you have tiles, does everyone at the table see them all, all of the time?

I must admit, I’ve never played Pai Gow Tiles since the rules seemed a little bit intimidating. Has anyone attempted to use the “Wizard Way” strategy? It seems pretty solid, but there are a lot of little nuances to remember. For anyone using it, any tricks to memorizing the play rules? What kind of results are you seeing in real play?
